Ron Bizak joined West as a Health and Safety Manager in July of 2017 and will be based out of the Cheyenne office. He received a B.S. in Management from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Science in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management from Eastern Kentucky University. Ron’s industry sectors consist of over 7 years’ experience in oil/ gas and manufacturing. Ron’s primary background in safety consists of injury case management, incident investigations, site audits, positive safe work employee engagement, and policy/procedure interpretation. Ron has extensive experience working with regulatory agencies such as the EPA, Washington State Department of Ecology, Washington State L&I, and local fire departments. Ron’s environmental experience consists of Hazwaste/RCRA, air quality data gathering, storm water and wastewater sampling for analysis to meet the requirements for regulatory compliance.
His favorite workplace experience was learning about ice consistency and drilling ice core samples on the North Slope of Alaska to check if vehicles may safely cross the ice. Ron’s favorite team accomplishment was successfully enhancing the field safety culture consisting of oilfield construction workers who achieved over 500 days worked safe and 11,700,000 hours without a lost time injury.
