Rebecca Schmitt is a biologist and received her M.S. in Environmental Science in 2013, M.P.A. in Environmental Policy and Natural Resource Management in 2005, and B.S. in Public Affairs/Management in 2003 from Indiana University. She has 10 years of combined professional experience with various academic research and environmental agencies. Rebecca started with WEST in 2015 as a bat project data manager and assisted with bat project coordination, surveys, data management, reporting, and proposals. Prior to WEST, Rebecca managed a research center at Indiana University for eight years, directing corporate relations and supervising federally funded research projects. She formerly held positions with the Indiana Geological Survey, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, and Indiana Department of Natural Resources, where she assisted the state herpetologist with reptile and amphibian surveys.
