Kristen Nasman is a biometrician in WEST’s Fort Collins, Colorado office. She received her B.S. in Mathematics and Secondary Mathematics Education at Winona State University. Kristen then attended Colorado State University for a M.S. in Statistics. In graduate school, Kristen worked closely with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service on small area estimation of forest attributes lost to wildfires in Colorado.
Kristen currently works on a variety of projects at WEST, including assessing the range-wide population of the lesser prairie-chicken and analyzing resource selection of whooping cranes. In addition, she has worked on a variety of baseline and post-construction wind studies assessing the potential impacts on wildlife from wind energy development.
