John Lombardi joined WEST in 2016 as a biometrician. John has experience in data analysis, mathematics, and programming. He received a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina-Asheville in 2013 and a M.S. in Environmental Monitoring and Modeling from SUNY-ESF in 2015. John’s graduate thesis was on the analysis of sampling strategies for area estimation of land-use and land-use change. He has experience with the analysis and modeling of water quality data, experimental design and analysis, and programming in both R and C++. At WEST, John has worked on multiple post-construction monitoring projects for wind power, Brownian bridge movement models, and the development of avian risk models.
