Avian Species Research & Management
WEST has been a leader in the field of natural resource impact assessment, monitoring, research, and permitting since 1990, specializing in a common sense, professional, and scientifically defensible approach to solving the natural resource issues that face industry and government.
We have conducted a wide breadth of avian ecological studies throughout North America, and have played a leading role in understanding, evaluating, and contextualizing impacts to wildlife and habitat using scientifically sound monitoring and research methods.
Our team has worked with many threatened, endangered, and special status avian species and have extensive experience not only with the birds, but also with their habitats, with the laws protecting them, and with the federal and local agencies that we interact with on these projects.
