Renewable Energy: Wind Power
WEST employees are recognized experts with direct project experience providing the wind energy industry and state and federal agencies with skilled consultation on wind-wildlife interactions.
The WEST team includes professional scientists and statisticians who understand wind energy development and operations, and maintain strong relationships with the local and regional staff of U.S. Fish and Wildlife (USFWS) and other relevant federal agencies, as well as state and local agencies responsible for wildlife policy and enforcement. Our biologists have a comprehensive understanding of the wildlife species most affected by wind projects, and our biometricians use the latest statistical tools to manage and understand species data.
WEST is exceptionally qualified to help our clients navigate the USFWS Land-Based Wind Energy Guidelines, state guidelines, and USFWS Eagle Conservation Plan Guidance. We have developed proven, risk-based approaches for advising clients on study needs that comply with the guidelines and satisfy client and project demands while remaining cost-effective.
With office locations throughout the US, WEST staff are well-situated to address local project needs.
