Programs for Resource Selection Function Calculations

Currently there are six special programs available for resource selection function calculations. For each of these there are three files provided, namely the executable file that runs under Windows 95 and later, a pdf file explaining what the program does and the data format, and an example data file. The programs are:

A&NULR Estimates resource selection functions when there is a sample of available resource units and one or more samples of unused units.

A&ULR Estimates resource selection functions when there is a sample of available resource units and one or more samples of used units.

DISCCHSE A general program for fitting discrete choice models.
|

| |
|
LOGLIN Fits log-linear models, with optional base rates.
|

| |
|
LOGREG Fits logistic regression models.
|
|
| |
|
RSWHAC Carries out the iterative maximum likelihood calculations described by Arthur et al. (Ecology 77: 215-27, 1996) where there are D types of habitat and one or more animals selects these habitats a number of times. The habitat is changing while the selection takes place.
