Tiffany Lyon is a biologist and field supervisor for WEST’s Littlefield, Texas field office. She joined WEST in 2007. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and B.S. in Biology from Texas Tech University in May of 2007. Tiffany conducts avian pre-construction surveys, collects data, services Anabats, uses radar to track bats, conducts sight characterizations for future wind project locations, and does habitat mapping. She is very involved with finding solutions for clients in the lesser prairie-chicken range and is certified to conduct habitat assessments and mitigation analysis through the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (WAFWA) Range-wide plan.
Prior to joining WEST, she worked for the Nature Conservancy trying to restore the Attwater’s Prairie Chicken population in Texas City. She has also worked on various projects for including: population counts of the Black-tailed prairie dogs over the South Plains, vegetation sampling, small mammal trapping, mist netting, grassland bird identification, collecting tadpoles to see what effect insecticides have on them, and other miscellaneous tasks.
