Luke Martinson joined WEST in 2008 as a Biologist-Wetland Specialist. Luke has managed projects ranging from residential, reservoir, and wind energy development to transmission, habitat management, and public interest. Luke’s primary areas of expertise are wetland science and study design. Luke received a B.S. in Biology and Minor in Mathematics from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
His wetland related experience includes wetland delineations, listed species surveys, mitigation design/monitoring, and Section 404 permitting. His experience also includes the design and implementation of functional assessments for wetlands, streams, playas, and other water resources. With his experience, Luke is able to guide clients through the permitting process in an efficient and cost effective manner. Luke has helped develop and implement study plans for large scale energy projects. These study designs utilized WEST’s statistician team to support project development and conservation planning decisions. Luke believes communication is a key to establish positive client and agency relationships.
