Kristen joined WEST in 2013 as a Biometrician our Cheyenne Office. She received her B.S. in Mathematics and Secondary Mathematics education at Winona State University. Kristen then attended Colorado State University for a M.S. in Statistics. In graduate school, Kristen worked closely with the USDA Forest Service on small area estimation of forest attributes lost to wildfires in Colorado.
Kristen currently works on a variety of projects at WEST, including assessing the range wide population of the lesser prairie chicken and analyzing resource selection of whooping cranes. In addition, she has worked on a variety of baseline and post-construction wind studies assessing the potential impacts on wildlife from wind energy development.
