Jon Cicarelli joined WEST in August, 2010 as a GIS TechnicianJon graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.S. in Geography. He has worked for the U.S. Forest Service, and for the SAWLS group at the University of Wyoming, doing surveys and mapping. Jon oversees field data from GPS receivers into the GIS environment. This requires solid understanding of GPS hardware, recreational maps, and on-the-fly digitization, as well as software from various types of GPS units in varying file types. Currently Jon works with the GIS team doing mapping, analysis and GPS-related work.
