Carissa Goodman

Technician Biologist / Quality Control Technician

Carissa first joined WEST in May 2014 as a Data Technician working on data management for the Deepwater Horizon oyster and fish damage assessments. She is now a Technician Biologist/Quality Control Technician in the Laramie office. Carissa performs QA/QC of data from wind and solar energy facilities, compiles reports, writes species take avoidance measures, and manages the digitizing team for the black-tailed prairie dog surveys.

In 2013, Carissa graduated from the University of Wyoming where she earned her B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and Management. After graduating, she worked in the UW Department of Ecosystem Science and Management as a lab technician where she performed DNA extracts and quantitative PCR on blood and feather samples from greater sage-grouse in Wyoming.
