WEST participates in Annual Golf Fundraiser

WEST took to the green and teamed up for the 6th Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser for the Cathedral Home for Children (CHC) in Laramie, Wyoming last month. CHC is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping traumatized youth and their families.

WEST attending ESA Conference

WEST Ecologist Ashley Tanner will be presenting at the Ecological Society of America (ESA) Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana this week. Her presentation will be “Understanding Umwelt: A Lesser Prairie-Chicken’s Perspective on Navigating the Anthropogenic Landscape”. ESA brings together the nation’s largest community of professional ecologists with this year’s meeting theme ‘Extreme events, ecosystem resilience and human well-being”.

WEST Research featured in "The Scientist" Magazine

WEST Research Biometrician Dr. Jason D. Carlisle is featured in the article “Umbrella Species: Conservation’s Poster Children” in the “The Scientist” magazine. The article highlights Jason’s sage-grouse research with the University of Wyoming, in addition to a follow-up study done by WEST and USFWS looking at overlap between sage-grouse priority areas for conservation and golden eagle habitats.
