Registration is now open for the second and final workshop describing the Blue Mountains Elk Models. An inter-agency team of scientists, led by the Starkey Ungulate Ecology Team of the U.S. Forest Service, PNW Research Station, developed the models for management application by elk population and land managers across elk summer range in northeastern Oregon and southeastern Washington. WEST Biometrician Ryan Nielson will be a co-presenter at the workshop. This free, 2-day workshop will feature a variety of presentations about the final nutrition and habitat models on Day 1, followed by a half-day of hands-on model demonstrations on Day 2.
Please visit the workshop website http://oregonstate.edu/conferences/event/elkhabitat2013/index.html to register and download the agenda. Here you will also find information about directions to the venue, lunch and lodging options, and other workshop logistics. |
