Tiffany Lyon is a biologist and field supervisor for WEST's Littlefield, Texas field office. She joined WEST in 2007. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and B.S. in Biology from Texas Tech University in May of 2007. Tiffany conducts avian pre-construction surveys, collects data, services Anabats, uses radar to track bats, conducts site characterizations for future wind project locations, does habitat mapping, and some data entry.
Prior to joining WEST, she worked for the Nature Conservancy trying to restore the Attwater's Prairie Chicken population in Texas City. Throughout school she worked on various projects for graduate students including: population counts of the Black-tailed prairie dogs over the South Plains, vegetation sampling, small mammal trapping, mist netting, grassland bird identification, collecting tadpoles to see what effect insecticides have on them, and other miscellaneous tasks.
She enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, restoring old cars and spending time with her family and Siberian Huskies.
